My canvases make reference to places in nature; a forest,
a garden, a tree, evoking a keen awareness of cyclical growth and decay, spontaneity and restraint, I strive to make visible the invisible:

My own movement and marks on the canvas suggest that of a branch moving in the wind, a dance of life, reflections of light on the water, a joyful celebration of life.

In music sound has immediate presence. In listening emotions and associations can arrive, alike what we experience in seeing color. Color can be compared with sound - notes, a painting can become a musical composition or “Improvisation” as Kandinsky titled many of his abstract paintings. The synergy between seeing and an internal listening is what the artist wants to achieve.
